Frameless Showers Vs. Framed Showers

Many people don't really understand the difference between a framed shower door vs. frameless shower doors. Other than the elegant appearance of frameless showers, the framed shower door is constructed of thinner less expensive glass that measures 1/8" to 3/16" thick and utilizes metal to strengthen its enclosure. Frameless shower doors are made up of 3/8" to ½" thick tempered and polished safety glass. The safety glass allows for strength and durability only requiring the use of minimal metals to secure the panels of the doors.
